Problem:
There is a lack of education in the areas our country needs to complete in the 21st century. Students do not know what they want to do based on their personality and aptitude. This is the most important decision they will make in their lives in order to find happiness. A majority of the young people I speak with find their careers on TV shows ( CSI or sports medicine) Those 500 cable channels could have shows on careers.
Today we are creating vast pools of college graduates with no inherent skills and a vast debt from their college education. Their debt has substantial interest going to the banks which pay tuitions to the colleges creating an indentured class not able to deduct interest nor go bankrupt. !
Solution:
1. Educational Aptitude Tests should be given to all in order to match personality with aptitude to create a happier and fulfilling lives for all of our citizens. This places young people in jobs that match their personality resulting in happy future citizens.
2. There needs to be partnership between government and corporations and colleges that point out the jobs of the future. Incentivize these functional careers of the future for all students. This is not just about high tech jobs, but also for students who are mechanically inclined and have aptitude for the trades. Germany appears to do this with its youth guidance for maximum efficiency and happiness. ? Most of Europe pays for the education of all of its future citizens – yet we do not ? Why ?
3. Buy the “The Great Courses” Company and make their Courses free for all Citizens. This company has visited all the top universities in the United States and found the best Professors as rated by their peers and that the students rate highest in the professors ability to transfer their knowledge to them. This creates an U.S. Online College that are the best Professors in the United States to teach that subject. Standardized testing could be utilized to certify the knowledge the student has retained.
