Problem : Many of our fellow citizens do not have healthcare. So they must sell all they own to pay for an illness of one the families members or let their loved one be uncared for or die. 50% of the bankruptcies in the United States in 2005 were due to excessive medical bills.
We join the military and risk our lives to protect our country, but we do not provide medical care for our fellow citizens.?
Solution: Medicare for all Citizens funded by a tax on all securities transactions.
- This tax would also help with the growing disparity in wealth among our citizens.
- This would slow down high speed trading – a big advantage for large banks vs people.
