Problem: Money is entwined in all aspects of the election process in The United States. Wealthy individuals and groups use their own money to promote their own power, political parties gather vast sums to promote their agendas and candidates, lobbyists will work for any group to influence congressman for the highest bidder regardless of the consequence on their fellow citizens. Without money, the will of the citizens has very little chance of becoming law. We live in a Moneyocracy!
“The Case of Citizens United” proves this point as decided by our own Supreme Court stating that “Corporations can spend as much money as they wish anonymously to promote their will over that of the people. “
Solutions: Make lobbying or influence peddling a criminal offense by outlawing the practice. Only private citizens can write to their Congressmen to convince them of their positions but cannot send money to influence them. All corporations are outlawed from contributing money or to influence any aspect of our government – corporations found guilty will be dissolved. .
Wealthy individuals cannot use their own monies for their campaigns.
All elections could be funded by the government once someone running for office qualifies by obtaining a certain number of petitions signed by verified citizens.
All Media must by law provide free and equal coverage of all candidates with public debates televised to the citizens of the respective regions involved.
Democracy should be a battle if ideas 💡 not 💰 money.!
Not only do we have a moneyocracy that gives little chance for the will of the people to be expressed in elections we also have a deep state bureaucracy that supersedes even the legitimate representatives of the corporations. When President Kennedy was assasinated my mother told me that in 50 years they will tell you what really happened that day in Dallas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAiRmhXvJHs
Even the Presidents of the United States have boundries, which if crossed will lead to their demise. !
