Food Sourcing ?


I believe we are all realizing by now that the food we eat has a great deal to do with our health outcomes. Both the inclusion of essential vitamins and nutrients we all need, as well as the exclusion of food stuffs that create disease by its over consumption.

Humans Crave three food ingredients –

Sugar – Sourse of energy but too much creates diabetes –

Fat – Souce of energy but too much clogs our arteries

Salt – NaCL – Sourse of our basic chemistry – but too much gives us high blood pressure

The Food Corporations in a capitalistic system have an incentive to make money which is greater than their concern for the health effects of their food on the general population. Our food corporations focus on shelf life and not health outcomes. When the population becomes aware that sugar is bad then they make sugar free products – which may have fat or may be worse than the sugar – Fructose. When fat is perceived by the population as bad they make fat free products that usually have too much sugar.

Solution: We as consumers must demand to know where foods come from and insist our lawmakers make food source labeling the law of the land. The people of France demand this of their food suppliers and most food can be trace to their sources.
